Cupressocyparis leylandii ‘Castlewellan Gold’ (commonly known as Castlewellan Gold) is a fast-growing evergreen conifer valued for its striking golden-yellow foliage, which provides vibrant year-round colour. It is widely used in landscaping for dense hedges, privacy screens, and windbreaks.

Key Characteristics:

• Foliage: Dense, flattened sprays of golden-yellow foliage in spring and summer, often developing bronze-gold tones in winter.
• Growth Habit: Upright and conical when young, maturing into a broader, more oval form if left untrimmed.
• Growth Rate: Vigorous, typically growing around 40–75 cm per year.
